1970: Where It Started
In 1970, Hiralal Kotadia laid the first sheet of steel that would become ABCD Drums & Barrels Industries, starting out of Mumbai Central. In an era when industrial packaging in India was fragmented and inconsistent, he built something different: a manufacturing operation rooted in precision, reliability, and an unshakeable commitment to the customer's word being as good as the seal on the drum.
What began as a small operation in Mumbai Central grew, order by order, relationship by relationship, into a name that paint manufacturers, oil refiners, and chemical processors across the region came to trust without question. That trust is the foundation everything else here is built on — and it's the same foundation that today powers a full-scale manufacturing facility in Bhiwandi and a corporate office in Andheri East, Mumbai.

The Next Generation: Rajesh H. Kotadia
When Rajesh H. Kotadia stepped into leadership, he inherited more than a factory — he inherited a standard. Over the last 15 years, he hasn't just maintained that standard; he's multiplied it. Under his leadership, ABCD Drums & Barrels Industries has grown 10x, expanding production capacity, broadening its product range across capacities from 10 litres to 200+ litres, and deepening relationships with some of the region's most demanding industrial buyers.
Rajesh's philosophy is simple: an engineered product is only as good as the consistency behind it. Every drum that leaves the factory floor today carries the same obsession with quality that defined the company's very first batch — just at a scale Hiralal could only have imagined.
Built for the Future: The Third Generation
The next chapter of ABCD Drums & Barrels Industries is already being written by the third generation — two brothers, two disciplines, one shared drive to push the company forward.
Dipesh R. Kotadia joined the company in 2015 and has since become the technical backbone of its operations. From production efficiency to quality control to the engineering detail that goes into every opening, seam, and coating, Dipesh's hands-on expertise ensures that scale never comes at the cost of precision. He is, in every sense, the engine room of ABCD's manufacturing excellence.
Yash R. Kotadia brings a different lens to the family business. After completing his Master's degree in Arizona, USA, Yash joined the company two years ago — bridging global business thinking with a century-old family trade. He's focused on modernizing how ABCD operates and how it's seen: from customer experience to digital presence to positioning the company for the next generation of B2B buyers who expect the same professionalism online that they've always gotten on the factory floor.
Together, Dipesh and Yash represent what ABCD Drums & Barrels Industries has always stood for — respect for the craft, and the ambition to build it bigger.
